Friday morning I left the hotel and was surprised that there was a bit of a chill in the air, in what I thought would be a sunny southern day.
I ask the doorman about it. "I thought you all kept it warm down here in New Orleans!" I protested.
"Where are you from, ma'am?" he asked.
"Louisville."
The doorman smilled slowly and graciously. "Then to you it is warm!"
I laughed, and couldn't fight that logic. The amazing food, hospitality, and accomodations warmed me up where the weather was lacking.
J&L loves New Orleans, and it seems as though all of the dealers did too. Our booth was hopping- this year we spoke to over 2,000 dealers, and showed many of them exactly how J&L Marketing's unique growth strategy could work for them.
So, until next year, I am going to try to make some beignets with the mix that I bought, and dream about that jambalaya and bread pudding I had. Mmmm...
OH! I almost forgot- If you want to get the best mule-driven carriage tour in town, go down to Jackson Square and ask for Heavy D. He will give you the best real and imagined history of New Orleans!
